Behavioral Aid Solutions Joins NAMI Miami-Dade's Walk for Mental Health Awareness

Behavioral Aid Solutions Inc. (BAS) proudly joined thousands of community members at the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Miami-Dade County's Sixth Annual Walk for Mental Health Awareness, held Saturday, May 16th at loanDepot park, home of the Miami Marlins. The BAS team — including staff, clinicians, and directors — walked alongside nearly 3,000 participants in one of the largest mental health awareness walks in the country.
“Being out there with our team, shoulder to shoulder with thousands of people who believe mental health matters, is exactly where we belong,” said Mariaelena Palomino, Clinical Director and CEO of Behavioral Aid Solutions Inc. “Change starts with all of us showing up — for our clients, for our community, and for each other.”
The walk brought together elected officials, community leaders, and mental health advocates from across Miami-Dade County. Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava was honored with the Susan Racher Mental Health Champion Award, and the event welcomed City of Miami Mayor Eileen Higgins, Miami Heat forward Keshad Johnson, and NBC6 anchor Jawan Strader, alongside a live performance from the Mays High School Marching Band.
“Every step of that walk was a reminder of how many people and organizations are working toward the same goal,” said Aracelys Mosquera, Director of Outpatient Services. “BAS was proud to stand among the mental health providers and institutions serving this community, and to be part of a movement this size.”
